The Training Center for Early Childhood Professionals has provided customized,
hands-on training and support to more than 30 Head Start Centers in the New York
metropolitan area. We have an in-depth understanding of the Head Start philosophy
and a history of demonstrated success developing comprehensive staff development
training programs that are aligned with your organization’s mission. We understand
that every organization and child care facility has unique needs and we are prepared
to help you meet those needs with an individualized program that supports your
specific goals within the context of the Head Start approach.

Our Head Start Solutions provide meaningful, hierarchical training opportunities
that are aligned with Head Start Performance Standards intended to help
organizations maintain and improve the quality of services based on PRISM reviews.

Principles of childhood development
Including the appropriate supervision of children, meeting the needs of children enrolled in the program with physical or emotional challenges and behavior management and discipline.

Nutrition and the health needs of children
The Training Center is committed to countering the current trends in child health. With obesity on the rise and physical activity on the decline, we have designed programs that will help teaching staff to motivate and guide children in physical activity, healthy eating and overall physical health.

TTC can help your program with menu design, indoor and outdoor gross motor planning and the many other facets of child health. Our workshops provide you with information and hands-on experiences that will help children to become engaged.  Below are some of our more popular training opportunities:

Child day care program development
All of our programs are focused on improving and continuing high quality care in early care and education. A wide variety of trainings are available to support the ongoing development of your program.

Safety and security procedures

Business record maintenance and management

Child abuse and maltreatment identification and prevention
Providers are required to participate in training focused on recognizing the signs of abuse, maltreatment and neglect as well as understanding their role as a mandated reporter. We provide varied opportunities to meet this requirement.

Statutes and regulations pertaining to child day care
State regulations provide the foundations for adequate care. Our goal is to create a foundation for optimal care. Using the guiding principles of your state regulations, we work with administrators and teaching staff to clarify and create an understanding of how the regulations affect your program.
